Today, we have some great news. Beginning next week, we have a new way to give to [church/organization]. It’s called Givt. You can use it from next week onward.
You might wonder why we are introducing another giving option? Times are changing. More and more people are not carrying cash or checks anymore. You might be giving electronically on a regular basis, but we want to enable you to also give more spontaneously during the church service like you could with cash and checks.
Givt enables you to express yourself through giving without the limits of cash or checks. You might want to use Givt because you would like to give something extra in a particular service or because there is a special campaign you want to support. Givt enables you to respond to that need within a few seconds whenever you like.

Before launch
There is good news for people who don’t carry cash anymore: soon you’ll be able to contribute to the collection using your smartphone. For this you’ll need the Givt app – which you can download at givt.app/download. Of course, the option to give cash at the collection will still be available.
Needless to say, not everyone has cash on them these days, as most people pay by card. Although cash is not longer needed for your supermarket trolley, the lack of it could make you feel empty handed during the collection in the service.
We have good news for these individuals. We will start with a new way of collecting – one where you can use your smartphone. We’re doing this together with Givt, the company that created this solution. You’ll need the Givt app if you want to make use of this service and you can download it at www.givt.app/download/.
Prefer to give cash? No problem. In addition to giving with your smartphone, the option to give cash at the collection will still be available.
Givt available this weekend
From [date] it is possible to participate in the collection during the service in a new way. That is when we will start using Givt. In addition to donating cash you will also be able to give with your smartphone. In this article you will read how it works and what you can do to continue giving money to the collection without having to carry cash. For more and more people it is not obvious to have cash with them. That is not surprising, because you can pay with a debit card almost everywhere. With this in mind, Givt originated.

During launch week
As of this weekend, it will be possible to contribute to the collection using your smartphone. For this you’ll need the Givt app, download the Givt app at givt.app/download. After downloading you can directly enter your email address and start giving. You can complete your registration at a later time.
Needless to say, not everyone has cash on them these days. We mostly pay with our bank cards and paying with our smartphone is an increasingly available option. One can’t deny or resist these developments, but it does pose a problem for those wanting to participate in their church’s collection.
For this problem we now have a solution. From this weekend on we’ll start collecting digitally using a smartphone. This system will be used in conjunction with the existing way of collecting. Giving cash is still – and will remain – a possibility.
If you’d like to make use of this new way of giving, please download the Givt app at www.givt.app/download/. After downloading you can directly enter your email address and start giving. You can complete your registration at a later time.
Throughout the year
We’re pleased that we can introduce ourselves in your church bulletin.
Perhaps you already know us and already use Givt as a means of giving for the collections in your congregation. Maybe you don’t know us yet, or maybe you’ve heard of Givt but you’re not yet a user of the Givt app. Anyway, we’d love to tell you more about the convenience and benefits of giving with the Givt app.
How does it work?
Download the Givt app (for free) and register, and you’re good to go!
When you start using the app to give:
- Open the app
- Here you can immediately indicate what you want to give. Choose how you want to give (you can do this in 4 ways)
- Giving via the collection device (the collection bag, tray or basket): move your phone along the collection device and you have given.

- List: choose the church from the list: type in the name of your church, click on it and you have given
- Location: choose location giving and confirm that you are present in the location that appears on your screen, and you have given
